Industrial Visit to Sahyadri Farms, Nashik – A Learning Experience for MMS Students

On December 24, 2024, the MMS Department of K. C. College of Engineering organized an insightful industrial visit for 33 first-year students to Sahyadri Farms in Nashik. Established by visionary entrepreneur Mr. Vilas Shinde, Sahyadri Farms is a trailblazing farmer-owned cooperative with over 700 shareholders. The organization is at the forefront of transforming Indian agriculture through sustainable farming practices, fair trade initiatives, and the integration of advanced technology.

The visit offered students a valuable opportunity to witness first-hand the cooperative’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, spanning multiple campuses and processing plants. Students gained a deeper understanding of food processing, supply chain logistics, and export operations. The experience highlighted Sahyadri Farms’ commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and farmer empowerment.
